Audrey's Vineyard Cottage and Homestead – Breede River Valley Self Catering Accommodation in the Western Cape

The Homestead is the original Victorian farmhouse, built in 1892, under oak trees, alongside a dam and overlooking the vineyards.  It is the ideal family holiday venue and is very close to the wedding and conference venue, Leipzig Country House ( and Nuy Wine Cellar.  Willow Creek Olive Estate is also our neighbour.

It has a large patio as well as an inside barbeque. There are 5 bedrooms, sleeping 11 people (4 bathrooms, 2 en-suite).  It has a large lounge with a fireplace and a big well equipped kitchen with microwave, stove & dishwasher. Two bedrooms have double beds while the other three have twin-beds/King-size double beds.  One bedroom has an extra single bed in it.

There are a number of resident barn owls in the shed next door and the babies can be seen and heard at certain times of the year.  Swallows return every summer to their “home” on the patio.  Weavers also love the oak trees at the reservoir for their nests.

Self catering accommodation but Continental breakfasts @ R65 per person per meal are available by prior arrangement.  Wine ordered at Nuy Wine Cellar ( can be delivered via prior arrangement.

Please Note: According to South African Health Regulations No Smoking inside the homestead.  Swimming in both the unfenced dam and reservoir at your own risk.
